So B. It by Sarah Weeks

Review by Lily Waterhouse

So B. It is a book that you can’t put down once you start. This book was great and I would recommend this book to anyone. It was very adventurous and it’s easy to keep track of and follow along with. This book is about a girl who is taking care of her mother who has Down syndrome and has to deal with the problem that people make fun of her mom and that call her names and make fun of her. She gets frustrated at times because she has to do everything and her mom doesn’t do that much. When the mother gets sick, the girl has to take care of her as if she were a baby. The girl’s father left when she was just a year old and she has never seen him since. She goes on a journey by herself, taking a bus down to different cities trying to find him, but has no luck. While she is gone, her mother gets sick and calls the neighbor to help her, but her neighbor is a drug addict and a heavy alcoholic and she wasn’t much help. When she arrives back home, her mother has passed away and now she is all alone.

This book is for anyone, no matter which gender you are. If you like books that are happy and make you cry a lot, then this is the right book for you. It is my favorite and I could read it over and over again. Again like I said I would recommend this book for anyone and I would encourage anyone from ages 10 and up to read this. I’d rate this book 5 out of 5 stars! It is the BEST!! :)
